Keep Waiting. Keep Believing.

Oftentimes while we wait for God’s vision to come about, others may come alongside us with encouraging messages.

They are meant to be infused with hope and substance.

Oftentimes while we wait for God’s vision to come about, others may come alongside us with encouraging messages.

In a God-given, God-inspiring sort of way.

We can think of them as prophetic encouragement.

They are meant to be messages infused with hope and substance while we wait for the vision to mature.

In the summer of 2010, as I waited for more definition to come to The Crossing Ministries, I had an encounter with God that filled me with hope.  It encouraged me to keep believing that God’s vision for my life was still alive.

What was interesting to me about the message, is that it came from someone I never met.  Who didn’t know me at all.  But he said something in his talk that struck me to my core.  I knew immediately God was encouraging me to keep waiting.  To keep believing for God’s vision for my life.

This is what I heard and wrote down:

“There’s a sword between the sexes today that still needs to be redeemed . . . The last great reconciliation in the world will be the reconciliation of masculine and feminine.”

“I believe when we see that in the Church, then we will see the glory of God come because the glory of God is the image of God in the man and the woman united!  When we see that image restored  — that glory restored — we’re going to see authority in the Church come, because they were given to rule together.”

This week, would you join me in pondering this message?  Perhaps mulling over these questions:

What does it say to you?  What might God be saying to you?

Is there anything in the message which might impact your everyday relationships with the opposite sex?

Do any questions arise from it?  Anything you’d like further definition about?
